What is the proper method and steps for upgrading the MediaWiki software in a vbWiki Pro enabled system environment?

Per ElfMage (2/9/2007): Simply follow the instructions for the MediaWiki upgrade. Once done, make sure that the require_once ... vbWikiPro_Init.php is still in LocalSettings.php, and that's it.

Since vbWiki Pro doesn't modify any files or DB tables in MediaWiki, there are no special considerations.

Per Island (2/10/2007): If the command line /maintenance/update.php doesn't work, you can run the /config/ web installer again -- if MW is already installed it will update the database as long as you specify the db prefix and everything else the same. Then just make sure any customizations you made to LocalSettings.php are restored to the new LocalSettings.php that is created in the config directory before moving it to the main directory.
