vbWiki Pro is an add-on for vBulletin that provides full integration with MediaWiki

(Notice that we have another product, NuWiki, which is a full wiki implementation for vBulletin, these are two different product. For a comparison between these two software packages, please visit the NuWiki vs. vbWiki Pro Comparison page).

vbWiki Pro: Enhance your vBulletin community with a fully integrated MediaWiki

vbWiki Pro enables the complete and seamless integration between vBulletin and MediaWiki, empowering you to combine and complement the strengths from these two packages.

Integration goes beyond single sign-on for your users, and includes full skin integration out of the box, using vBulletin's template editor to edit MediaWiki skins, managing wiki user permissions from vBulletin's Admin CP, managing MediaWiki settings from within vBulletin's Admin CP, and much more.

If you would like to see vbWiki Pro in action visit one of these Sites using vbWiki Pro. Testimonials can be found in the same page.

We also offer a lite version named vbWiki Standard, which only provides single sign-on between MediaWiki and vBulletin. vbWiki Standard is offered by nuHIT as a free download.

vbWiki Pro Features

  • Single sign-on for vBulletin and MediaWiki (users register and log in only once).
  • Administer wiki permissions and groups from within vBulletin's Usergroup Manager.
  • Supports auto-authentication, users who choose to be "remembered" are logged in upon visiting the site to both vBulletin and MediaWiki. (Shared sessions)
  • Full skin integration. No need to customize your wiki skins. Simply install vbWiki Pro and your wiki will inherit the look and feel from your forums' styles and templates (including images, menues, colors, etc).
  • Support for vBulletin Templates. You can further tweak the layout of your wiki pages by customizing templates in vBulletin's Template Manager. No need to edit a PHP skin.
  • Users viewing wiki pages can be shown in vBulletin's "Who's Online?" section (both guests and registered users).
  • Adds custom control panel to vBulletin's AdminCP, where all vbWiki Pro and most MediaWiki settings can be configured. (Once MediaWiki is installed, there is no need to deal with config files whenever you want to configure your MediaWiki installation).
  • Replaces MediaWiki's discussion (talk) pages with vBulletin threads or forums (configurable).
  • Implements new wiki tags to show vBulletin information in wiki pages (statistics, latest threads, etc.)
  • Supports non-English forums with encoding conversion if required and Wiki interface language synchronization. No changes are needed on vBulletin's side.
  • Implements Forum Headers, giving you the option to add wiki links at the top of your forums, editable on the wiki, and managed on a per-forum basis.
  • Supports vBulletin and MediaWiki installed on the same or different sub-domains, same or different database, or different database servers (for high traffic communities).

Testimonials

"Just to say that I bought vbWiki Pro and its integration is pretty well done with MediaWiki and vBulletin. vbWiki Pro works like a charm in French language on my forum, all languages are supported! Great work!"
-- Thomas

"vbWiki Pro is a first class job of integrating MediaWiki into vBulletin. Installation is a snap, administration is intuitive, and customization is easy. More importantly, support is more or less instant, and new features are being added all the time. I couldn't be happier with the product."
-- Hugh Messenger (a.k.a cheesegrits) vBlogetin
