New Features added on vbWiki Pro version 1.3 RC4

Fixes:

New Features added on vbWiki Pro version 1.3 RC3

New Features:

  • Added compatibility with MediaWiki 1.10.x
  • New feature: "Update User's Post Count when editing or creating Wiki Articles". This feature is disabled by default, and must be enabled in vbWiki Pro's Admin CP Settings.
  • Added a number of hooks to allow for further customization of vbWiki Pro's operation.

Fixes:

  • Fixed: In some installations, the wiki favicon.ico was being shown in the forum's Who's Online?.
  • Fixed: vbWiki Pro now checks whether the target thread was previously deleted, when reidrecting talk pages to forum threads.
  • Fixed: If guests are not allowed to view the forum/wiki, when vbWiki Pro was redirecting to the login form, in some cases (different domains or sub-domains) some relative URLs were not being translated.
  • Fixed: Redirecting talk pages to forum threads was not working properly when article names had special (non-english) characters.

New Features added on vbWiki Pro version 1.0.3 RC1

New Features:

  • Improved speed of the plugins code and reduced memory footprint (this was rather small already, but it was reduced even further)
  • Added the following new functionality, and corresponding settings to the vbWiki Pro's Admin CP:
    • Keywords meta tag: Used to specify the content of the keywords meta tag for wiki pages. If left empty, vBulletin's keywords are used.
    • Use Wiki Keywords: If enabled, the keyword list generated by the wiki engine are appended to the keywords meta tag.
    • Description meta tag: Used to specify the content of the description meta tag for wiki pages. If left empty, vBulletin's description meta tag is used.
    • Include article title in description meta tag: If enabled, the wiki article title is added to the description meta tag.
    • Include link to Wiki's Main Page in breadcrubs: If enabled, a link to the wiki main page is included in the navbar. This is the current behavior.
    • Hide login/logout links: If enabled (default), the login and logout links are hidden from the wiki's personal links menu. This setting is only useful if you are not using vbWiki Pro's built-in template driven skin (e.g., you are using monobook).
    • Enable Who's Online Integration: This setting is used to control whether visitors browsing the wiki are shown in the forum's Who's Online? section and statistics.
  • Added vBulletin phrases to customize all messages on the wiki side of vbWiki Pro.
  • Enhanced support for non-English language installations.
  • If a usergroup's "Enable vbWiki Pro Permissions" setting is set to 'No', the usergroup is not mapped to the wiki (useful when you have usergroups that not all members are supposed to know exist).
  • Discussions for Users can now be redirected to the corresponding member page for the user (new option in Admin CP)

Fixes:

  • Fixed: When wiki and forums were installed on different sub-domains or domains, redirection from the forum to the wiki after logging in, or when clicking on a link in the Who's Online were sending the visitor to the forum's home page.
  • Fixed: Discussions for Category pages (in the Category namespace) were not being sent to the corresponding thread in the forums.
  • Fixed: In some installations, Forum Headers would not be updated when the corresponding wiki article was changed. Requiring a manual run of the cron job.
  • Fixed: "Who's Online?" integration was not working properly when the wiki was installed on the root in a different sub-domain/domain.
  • Fixed: The vbWiki_ShowThreads tag was not using vbSEO to generate SEF links.
  • Fixed: If vbSEO was not installed, and vbSEO integration was enabled, an error would occur.
  • Fixed: If a Discussion (talk) thread was deleted, the Discussion logic was not creating a new thread.
  • Fixed: When installing vbWiki Pro on some of the newest versions of mySQL, running in strict mode, a DB error could occur due to a change in mySQL behavior.
  • Fixed: If a forums was displaying template names in the HTML output, in some cases, vbWiki Pro would leave the comment with the template name before the document type in the HTML source.
  • Fixed: The encoding for the title of links containing 'special characters' were not being translated to UTF-8 encoding in the Forum Headers.
  • Fixed: When redirecting a user to a forum thread, the anti-spam protection was stopping forum or thread creation.

New Features added on vbWiki Pro version 1.0.3 Beta 3

New Features:

  • Enhanced support for ISO to UTF8 encoding translations.

Fixes:

  • Fixed: Multi-domain Cookie Tunnel now overrides forums cookie domain and cookie path.
  • Fixed: 'Notice' shown when logging in when not using vbWikiSkin (e.g. monobook).

New Features added on vbWiki Pro version 1.0.3 Beta 2

New Features:

  • Added support for setups where the wiki and the forums are installed in different domain (cookie tunneling)

Fixes:

  • Fixed: When using e-mail confirmation, wgEmailAuthentication was not being enabled.
  • Fixed: Encoding translation for vBulletin breadcrumbs, keywords and description (ISO to UTF8).

New Features added on vbWiki Pro version 1.0.3 Beta 1

New Features:

  • When moving or renaming a wiki article, if a corresponding 'talk thread' exists, it is now renamed as well.
  • Added separate setting to control whether to redirect User Talk Pages to forums.

Fixes:

  • Fixed: Encoding translation for titles for threads created from within vbWiki Pro were not being translated (for non-UTF-8 non-english installations.)
  • Fixed: Encoding translation for the forum name when shown in the navbar in the wiki was not translated (for non-UTF-8 non-english installations.)
  • Fixed: If the forums is closed or all users have to login to view the forum, vBulletin's output would be corrupted (due to double gzip compression.)
  • Fixed: If the forum is in a subdirectory of the wiki, the "Who's Online?" was showing forum pages in the wiki.

New Features added on vbWiki Pro version 1.0.2 GOLD

New Features:

  • Added option to have a vBulletin style on the wiki different from the forums. ($g_vbWiki_StyleId_Override)

Fixes:

  • Fixed: User CP and Register are now using vBulletin phrase system.

New Features added on vbWiki Pro version 1.0.2 RC 3

New Features:

  • Implemented compatibility with MediaWiki version 1.9.0 (and version 1.6.9)
  • Wiki pages now use wiki keywords and description meta tags.

Fixes:

  • Fixed: Location for users in Who's Online sometimes did not show the Wiki Page name.
  • Fixed: vbWiki_ShowThreads wiki tag would not work if the forumid for a non-existing forum was specified.
  • Fixed: vBulletin's Cron Jobs are now enabled from within the wiki.
  • Fixed: vbWiki Pro was interfering with the 'Who's Online' locations for users visiting pages in vbAdvanced and other add-on's.
  • Fixed: Special:GoToForum would not work on some non-english setups.
  • Fixed: User registrations were not being redirected to vBulletin's registration page on some non-english setups.

New Features added on vbWiki Pro version 1.0.2 RC 2

New Features:

  • Implemented support for vBulletin's Replacement Variables from wiki pages.

Fixes:

  • Fixed: Location for users in Who's Online sometimes did not show the Wiki Page name.
  • Fixed: Dynamic Host detection would fail to detect host name properly on some version of Apache server.

New Features added on vbWiki Pro version 1.0.2 RC 1

New Features:

  • Granular control of wiki permissions from within vBulletin's Usergroup Manager.
  • Forum Headers now use DIVs instead of tables. Introduced new template to customize the look of Forum Header links.

Fixes:

  • Fixed: Authentication bug which showed on some sites using PHP4.
  • Fixed: vb_ShowThreads wiki tag now uses forum permissions to determine what thread titles the user can view.

New Features added on vbWiki Pro version 1.0.2 Beta

New Features:

  • Forum Headers: Add optional headers containing links that can be edited in the wiki. Use templates to customize look and position.
  • Dynamic Hosts: When enabled vbWiki Pro will use the host used by the browser to make the request. Useful when a server is accessed from the internet as well as from an intranet.
  • vbWiki Pro now displays all users visiting the wiki on the forums' "Who's Online?", including the wiki page they are viewing. Removed the limitation present in previous versions where enabling this feature would disable the 'New Threads'. Now 'New Threads' functionality remains unaffected.
  • Enhanced support for multi-language forums. vbWiki Pro changes the language used by the wiki interface to match the language chosen by the user.
  • Improved compatibility with third party vBulletin mods (e.g. vbAdvanced)
  • Breadcrumbs in the NavBar area now use the wiki Site Name for increased customizability (before it would say 'Wiki')
  • Created new hooks to enable third party plugins for vbWiki Pro.

Fixes:

  • Fixed: In some setups, threads created by clicking on the Discussions tabs on the wiki were going to the forums' moderation queue.
  • Fixed: vb_Stats wiki tag was not showing forum information correctly.

New Features added on vbWiki Pro version 1.0.1

New Features:

  • Show/Hide User CP, Log Out, Register links from wiki's Personal Links menu.
  • New setting to control whether wiki visitors are registered on the forums' Who's Online?'
  • Added support to e-mail authentication for wiki pages (when a user's e-mail is verified in the forums, it gets verified on the wiki as well.)
  • Added support for non-English forums not using UTF-8 encoding (e.g. ISO). Now, if required, vbWiki Pro translates the encoding of vBulletin's style when building wiki pages. No changes are needed to vBulletin's styles, language packs, etc.
  • wiki pages generated by vbWiki Pro now use UTF-8 at all times (avoiding any encoding conflicts).
  • Real names in the wiki now contain vBulletin's user name.
  • Added vbWiki Pro URL commands for troubleshooting configurations and paths.

New settings added to vbWiki Pro's Admin CP:

  • Whether show additional links (User CP, Log Out, Register) in the wiki's Personal Links menu.
  • Translate forum encoding (see explanation above).
  • Debugging features for vbWiki Pro now available from Admin CP.
  • Control default wiki skin.
  • Skins that should not be shown to the user in the wiki preferences page.
  • Wiki Site name.
  • Wiki Site Notice.
  • Wiki Language Code.
  • Whether to use American Dates or not (must be using English language).
  • Enabling of the user of {{DISPLAYTITLE:xyz}} to change the title of a wiki page.
  • Whether to allow embedding of external images in wiki pages.
  • Control of the behavior of the 'Go' button in the wiki.
  • List of pages that all users can read regardless of security settings (white list)
  • Cookie Domain and Path now can be edited in the Admin CP

Fixes:

  • Fixed: When showing Private Message popups and count, the Wiki was caching the pages with information that could've changed.
  • Fixed: In some configurations the GoToForums Special Page used for Talk Page redirection was not working properly.
  • Fixed: When using vbSEO integration, and redirecting Talk Pages to forums, users were redirected to the forums' home, when clicking on the 'Discussions' tab for the first time (when the forum was created). This was caused a 'bug' in vbSEO, we implemented a workaround.
  • Fixed: vbWikiSin was including Content-Type and Encoding metatags more than once.
  • Fixed: Layout of wiki pages in IE7 no longer overflows to the right.
  • Fixed: Changed footer tag id in vbWikiSkin to avoid conflict with CSS definitions for custom vBulletin skins.
