NuWiki is an add-on for vBulletin that adds a wiki to your community. This is not a bridge like vbWiki Pro, instead it is a full implementation of a wiki on top of vBulletin.

You can use NuWiki as a regular wiki to let your community members pool their collective knowledge and store it in one central location. With a Wiki, you can have an easy to access, easy to edit information repository, built, maintained and enriched by your own members.

NuWiki can be used as a powerful article system, which includes versioning and revisions. You can change your article as much as you want, knowing that all past revisions are stored in NuWiki's DB. Not only that, you could have a team of editors contribute to an article, and easily see what and when each author contributed.

NuWiki supports integration with NuRatings or with vBulletin built-in thread rating system. By just changing a couple of settings you can use NuWiki as a powerful review system. Letting your members rate and comment on the different reviews.

You can continue reading this page for a more comprehensive list of features, or you can dive right in by visiting a live demo of NuWiki, feel free to add or edit any article in there.

NuWiki Features

  • NuWiki is very intricately weaved with vBulletin's Forums, Users and Usergroups.
  • NuWiki works by 'tagging' one or more forums as 'NuWiki Forums'. This means that you can use vBulletin's Forum Manager to build your wiki category hierarchy. You can have as many 'NuWiki Forums' as you'd like. And these can be located in one central location or scattered throughout your forums.
  • Supports BBCode, attachments, images, subscriptions, polls, sticky articles, smileys, article icons, etc.
  • Full versioning and revision system. All modifications to an article are saved. Users can then view older revisions, or compare their differences.
  • Users with sufficient rights can roll back an article to a previous revision.
  • NuWiki supports inline, AJAX based, article editing, or an advanced full-page editor.
  • Preview changes made to an Article before saving.
  • Each article has its own thread. Users can add comments and discuss the article. Comments are shown right under the article, for increased interactivity.
  • Security is managed through vBulletin's Usergroup Manager.
  • Articles can be protected for an added layer of editing control.
  • Adds new BBCode for linking wiki articles, as well as a shorthand code for faster editing.
  • NuWiki can be fully tailored to your site. NuWiki uses vBulletin template system, custom CSS and phrases to control every aspect of NuWiki's look and feel.
