Requirements
- Tested on vBulletin 3.6.x (should work in vBulletin 3.5.4)
- Compatible with Firefox, Internet Explorer.
Installing NuLook
Instructions for upgrading existing installations can be found below
Steps
- Extract the content of the NuLook package to a directory in your computer.
- Upload the content of the directory named 'upload' to your forums directory.
- Log onto your forums' Admin CP, go to Plugins & Products > Manage Products > Add/Import Product, click browse and locate the Product-NuHIT_NuLook.xml file in your computer. Select 'allow override' and click on 'Import'
- Go to Admin CP > vBulletin Options > NuHIT's NuLook and configure NuLook with the features you would like enabled and customize the default color sets if needed.
- Go to Admin CP > Usergroup Manager and edit the permissions for the applicable usergroup. Each usergroup can have the per user color overrides enabled or disabled, and a color set for the suergroup can also be entered.
- If your members will be allowed to customize their posts colors, then go to Admin CP > Styles and Templates and edit the template named modifyoptions. Towards the bottom find the line containing $customfields[other], and insert above:
$nulook_useroptions
- To enable thread status color coding, edit the threadbit template, and change the first line from:
Configuration
- In your forums' Admin CP, go to vBulletin Options > NuLook Settings and change the default settings as needed.
- If you would like to change usergroup permissions, go to Usergroups > Usergroups Manager, and configure per-usergroup NuLook permissions and settings.
Upgrading NuLook
To upgrade an existing installation of NuRatings follow these steps:
- In your forums' Admin CP, go to Plugins & Products > Manage Products, and disable your currently installed NuLook product.
- Follow the installation instructions outlined above (make sure you click on 'Override' when importing the new product.)
- Go back to your forums' Admin CP, go to Plugins & Products > Manage Products, and re-enable NuLook.

How to uninstall NuLook
To completely uninstall NuLook follow these steps:
- Disable or uninstall NuLook Product from within your forums' Admin CP (Plugins & Products). Important: This step must be done before removing any NuLook files.
- Optionally, remove the NuLook from your forums directory.
- Optionally, remove bitfield_nuhit_nulook.xml from your forum's includes/xml directory.
