Stop converting my spaces, please...

New user here, really appreciating this integration in our forum.

I noticed that the Wiki page automatically deletes any spaces greater than 1 in between non-space characters. This makes it very difficult to create columns of text, as one would with a tab, if the tab character were available (which it is not). Is there any way to turn this "feature" off so that a space is a space is a space?

Doesn't this happen with non-wiki pages in vB too? Have you tried placing the text with multiple spaces within a code tag block?

I'm pretty sure this is an HTML limitation. In HTML, more than 1 space is ignored, because it thinks you are doing it to make the code look nice, and not because you actually want them there. This is why the   code exists, to add extra spaces, although personally you should be using tables or divs. Of course the nbsp solution is only good if your forum allows HTML.

Yeah, it's just that we're using lots and lots of tables (and lists) in our Wikis, so the issue became more pronounced. I guess we'll stick with the [code] tag as a workaround...
