Nu
Wiki can be configured by accessing the Admin CP in your vBulletin installation.
In addition, you can convert vBulletin forums into NuWiki Forums from the
NuWiki Forum Manager Settings. And you can configure permissions in
NuWiki Usergroup Permissions.
Enable NuHIT's NuWiki
If set to 'No', Nu
Wiki will be disabled entirely. This includes Forum Headers, Articles and Wiki forums.
Separate articles from discussions
If set to 'Yes' (default), article discussions are shown in a separate page, and a 'Discussion' button is added to the article.
Show 'Create Article' in NuWiki Menu?
If set to 'Yes' (default), a new menu item will be added to the Nu
Wiki Menu: '
Create New Article', which will let the user create a NuWiki Article.
Show 'All Books' in NuWiki Menu?
If set to 'Yes' (default), a new menu item will be added to the Nu
Wiki Menu: 'All Books', which shows a list of all
NuWiki Books in the system.
List of pages to show in NuWiki Menu
Enter a list of Article Titles that you would like Nu
Wiki to show in NuWiki's main menu. Enter one article per line.
NuWiki's Main Menu is added to the NavBar when NuWiki is installed (you have to modify the
navbar template).
Here is a sample of the Nu
Wiki Main Menu:
In this case, the only article configured to be shown is '
Main Page'. You can add as many article titles as you'd like.
If the article exists, clicking on the link will take the user to the article. If the article doesn't exist, and the user has permissions to create
Wiki articles, the link will take the user to the '
Create New Article' page.
The Recent Changes link is added always to the bottom of the NuWiki's Main Menu (controlled by a setting in the Usergroup Permissions). The Recent Changes page will show a list of the articles that have been recently changed.
Default Forum Id where new articles are created
Enter the id for the Nu
Wiki Forum where
New Articles are created if no other forum is specified.
NavBar Mode for NuWiki Forums
This setting controls what links are shown in the Navigation Bar (NavBar) when viewing a Nu
Wiki Forum or NuWiki Article.
Show Forum Index in NuWiki Forum Main Page
This setting is only applicable if the 'NavBar Mode for Nu
Wiki Forums' is set to 'Show NuWiki Forum
Main Page' (which is the default setting).
If set to 'Yes' an alphabetical index of all articles in the NuWiki Forum is added at the bottom of of the NuWiki Forum Main Page.
If set to 'Yes',
NuWiki Auto-Links are enabled. NuWiki will scan all posts and threads added or
edited in a background process that runs every 10 minutes (the schedule can be changed from Admin CP > Scheduled Tasks > NuWiki Cron).
Notice that you have to configure which forums will be used as the sources for
NuWiki Auto-Links from
NuWiki Forum Manager Settings.
Remove duplicate NuWiki Auto-Links from posts
If set to 'Yes', Nu
Wiki will only create an auto-link for each term/article title once per post.
If set to 'Yes', Nu
Wiki will create
NuWiki Auto-Links for any mention of an existing NuWiki Book.
NuWiki Auto-Link Preview
These settings control the AJAX Preview for
NuWiki Auto-Links.
If set to 'Yes',
NuWiki Books will be enabled. Notice that there are settings in
NuWiki Usergroup Permissions that control what users can add,
edit or delete books.
Position for Book Chapter Navigation
This setting controls where in a Nu
Wiki Article which is part of a NuWiki Book, the Chapter Navigation is displayed (defaults to Top and Bottom).
Show Book Index the Table of Content for NuWiki Articles?
If set to 'Yes' (default), then the Table of Content (TOC) for a Nu
Wiki Article which is part of a NuWiki Book will contain the list of chapters in the book. In addition, a link to the NuWiki Book is shown in the title of the TOC.
Enable #REDIRECT in NuWiki Articles?
If set to 'Yes' (default), then redirects will be enabled. Redirects are Nu
Wiki Articles which contain #REDIRECT
target title as their sole content.
Enable Forum Headers
If set to 'Yes', Nu
Wiki's Forum Header functionality is enabled.
Forum Headers allow you to add a block of text or images to the top of the forums where Forum Headers are enabled.
You can let all your registered users
edit forum headers, or you can restrict editing to a specific usergroup.
Forum Headers can be used to show per-forum notices. Or a list of links that are relevant to the forum in question.
Forum Headers are stored as wiki articles in a separate NuWiki forum.
You can show Forum Headers only when showing a list of threads (in FORUMDISPLAY), or additionally you can choose to show Forum Headers also when showing a thread (SHOWTHREAD).
Forum Id Where Forum Headers will be stored
This is the id of the forum where the content of Forum Headers will be stored. This forum must be a Nu
Wiki Forum. You can use any NuWiki Forum, or you can use a forum dedicated solely for this purpose.
This setting must be set, for Forum Headers to function correctly.
Prefix for Forum Header articles
This is the prefix used to name Forum Headers internally. This title is only shown when
editing a forum header. Forum Header articles are named by adding the forum id to the prefix specified in this setting.
It is recommended that you do not change this setting after Forum Headers have been created.
Prefix for SHOWTHREAD Forum Header articles
If the setting 'Enable Nu
Wiki Forum Headers in SHOWTHREAD' is enabled. You can choose to show a different forum header when viweing a thread. Simply specify here a prefix different than the one used for Forum Headers.
Postbit template for wiki articles
This is the name of the template that will be used to render Nu
Wiki articles. Do not change this setting.
Maximum Characters for NuWiki Articles
Enter the maximum number of characters allowed for Nu
Wiki Articles. If set to 0, then NuWiki will use vBulletin's "Minimum Characters Per Post".
Time limit for editing NuWiki Articles
Enter the time limit (in minutes) after which Nu
Wiki Articles cannot be modified. If set to 0, NuWiki will use vBulletin's "Time Limit on
editing Posts". Usually you may want to set this to a large number (e.g. 9999999).
Soft-delete revisions upon rollback
If set to 'Yes', when an article is reverted to a previous revision (rollback), all disacarded revisions are kept, but marked as deleted.
If set to 'No', all discarded revisions are physically removed from the database.
Include title keywords in keywords meta tag
If set to 'Yes', all keywords in the title of an article are added to the keywords meta tag when the article is shown.
Wiki keywords meta tag
Enter a comma separated list of keywords that should be used in the keywords meta tag.
Include Wiki article title in description meta tag
If set to 'Yes', the article title is included in the description meta tag. If left blank, vBulletin's keywords are used.
Wiki description meta tag
Enter a description to be included in the description meta tag when browsing Nu
Wiki articles. If left blank, vBulletin's description is used.
Keywords stop words
Enter a list of words that should be excluded when generating keywords from an article title.
NuWiki Custom Fields Map
Enter the list of thread fields that will be accessible from Nu
Wiki Articles through the FIELD NuWiki BBCode.
Notice that NuWiki doesn't create custom fields at this time. Instead this feature can be used to access any existing field currently existing in your forum's thread table.
For instance, let's say that your thread table has a field named 'customfield1', and that you want to make it accessible to NuWiki Articles as 'car model'. Then the NuWiki Custom Fields Map should be set to:
customfield1 => car model
And you can access this field by entering the following in any article:
[field]car model[/field]
Enable the use of SQL Sub-Queries
This setting should be left set to 'Yes', unless your site is running a PHP version older than PHP 4.1.
Enable Diagnostic access for NuHIT Staff
Leave this setting off, unless instructed otherwise by NuHIT's staff. Turning this setting on will allow NuHIT's staff (filtered by NuHIT's router IP) to access Nu
Wiki's diagnostic screen.
NuWiki Debug Mode Enabled
Leave this setting turned off, unless instructed otherwise by NuHIT's staff. If set to 'Yes', NuWiki will enter in Debug Mode for remove diagnostics.
