NuHit will continue the NuRatings develop?

I need to know that answer cause i have installed NuRatings but anybody in my comunity use it, the actual product is insufficient.

Very much times, specially Kafi and I, have suggested some new features that can improve NuRatings and always the answer had been "in the next version" but the last release was four months ago and some products like NuWiki or vbWiki Pro have new versions every month.

I will not be angry if NuHit stops the develop of NuRatings, but i need to know what is the future of this product, actually he is only generating queries in my forum.

Thanks.

Hi,

Yes, NuHIT will continue to develop NuRatings alongside the rest of the products in our portfolio.

I may be mistaken, but I think that the current NuRatings 1.3 RC4 release was posted on 6/21 (a month and a half ago). However, this release only had a couple of new features and some minor bug fixes.

Your concern is valid. We like to hear all feedback and feature requests. This is what makes our products be in tune with the market. It doesn't mean that we will implement all features requested (it wouldn't be realistic).

After our products enter the RC stage (release candidate) we try very hard to not add and/or release any new features (something close to a feature freeze). We continue developing the products in the background.

We are happy to say that we have not received any bug reports since the last build. We are thinking on releasing NuRatings 1.3 GOLD, and right after release NuRatings 1.4 Beta 1, with these new features.

Currently we are working on a couple of features for NuRatings. Namely vbAdvanved modules which we've been meaning to add for a long time, as well as support for more digg-like templates and interface functionality.

We are also considering an automated template integration, where the webmasters do not have to add each 'NuRating Component' to their vB templates. (This would be optional).

In any event, the short answer is yes, we hear to your feedback, and yes, we will continue developing NuRatings..

Hi Pipin,

Yes, this is the current plan. We will be releasing new versions of vbWiki Pro, then NuWiki, then NuRatings, and finally NuSEO.PHP. This should start happening next week or so.

I've done some of my own modifcations already, though I've suggested them to ElfMage already. However, if anyone is curious, I do plan on enhancing nuratings/nulook myself and/or suggesting what I've done to ElfMage.

It's been a little slow in progress, since I get only an hour max per a day to work on scripting, as I'm also doing many college projects at the moment too.

Hey Kafi. I'm sorry about not being as active anymore.

The bad news has been that my college semester has been VERY tough, so I've been away for awhile now as you can tell. I also just had a tragic break up with my girlfriend 4 days ago, so as you can see I've just been piled with issues.

The good news is I will be done Dec 11 and plan to work on it some more. I hope to have something ready sometime in december. I will update this later, unless Elfmage or the staff get the next release out before hand. I learned AJAX and some advanced javascript this semester, so this is a good chance to try it out and make something great

New updates guys.

I started working on it this week. Got it working with 3.7 and I've been adding tons of options to it.

If you guys have any features you want, that haven't been mentioned here. Then feel free to do so.

I will have a demo up hopefully by the end of this week.

That is a great news really.

Can you give as a list of new features? So that we can start from there?
To be honest I am still running VB 3.6 so I didnt check NuRatings with 3.7.

I just want a nice way to rate threads and postings positive or negative with a nice optic. Nothing more.

Eager to see it.

What I like the most about NuRating is its ability to hide posts. I wish that once there will be a solutions to hide also related conversation to "BAD" post - either by tracing threaded replies or quotes.
