Installation
Installing NuRatings
Instructions for upgrading existing installations can be found below
Steps:
1. Extract the content of the NuRatings package to a directory in your computer.
2. Upload the content of the directory named 'upload' to your forums directory.
3. Log onto your forums' Admin CP, go to Plugins & Products > Manage Products > Add/Import Product, click browse and locate the product-nuhit_ratings.xml file in your computer. Select 'allow override' and click on 'Import'
4. The next step is to determine what functionality you would like enabled, and change the default configuration if required (refer to the 'Configuration' section below.
5. And lastly, you will need to modify the templates where you would like to add NuRatings components. (Refer to the section 'Editing Templates' below.
Configuration
- In your forums' Admin CP, go to vBulletin Options > NuRatings Settings and change the default settings as needed.
- If you would like to change usergroup permissions, go to Usergroups > Usergroups Manager, and configure per-usergroup NuRatings permissions.
Upgrading NuRatings
To upgrade an existing installation of NuRatings follow these steps:
- In your forums' Admin CP, go to Plugins & Products > Manage Products, and disable your currently installed NuRatings product.
- Follow the installation instructions outlined above (make sure you click on 'Override' when importing the new product.)
- Go back to your forums' Admin CP, go to Plugins & Products > Manage Products, and re-enable NuRatings.
Adding NuRatings Components to your Templates

You can select what NuRatings components you add to your forums and where in your forum layout you want to place them. You only need to modify the templates where you would like to add these components.
When installing NuRatings in your forums you need to determine what features you want enabled.
The following is a list of NuRatings Components that you need to add to enable specific features.
To Enable User Ratings:
* Add User Ratings Component to MEMBERINFO
To Enable Post Ratings:
* Add Post Filter Component to SHOWTHREAD
* Add Post Rating Component to postbit or postbit_legacy
To Enable Thread Ratings:
* Add Thread Filter Component to FORUMDISPLAY
* Add Thread Rating Component to threadbit
* Add Thread Rating Component to navbar
To Show Top Threads in Home Page:
* Add Top Threads Component to FORUMHOME
To Show Top Users in Home Page:
* Add Top Users Component to FORUMHOME

How to uninstall NuRatings?
To completely uninstall NuRatings follow these steps:
- Disable or uninstall NuRatings Product from within your forums' Admin CP (Plugins & Products). Important: This step must be done before removing any NuRatings files.
- Optionally, remove the NuRatings from your forums directory.
- Optionally, remove bitfield_nuhit_ratings.xml from your forum's includes/xml directory.
