Refund possible?


I purchased nuwiki a couple of days ago, having not seen the announcement that it was no longer supported. Only after purchase did I come to the forums and see the threads about lack of support.

Unfortunately, I cannot afford to use a piece of software that doesn't have regular updates (especially as its still an RC and not a gold release) and would like to know what the possibility of a refund is? I have my paypal receipt, etc, available.

I think you should email sales@nuhit.com asking for a refund and your paypal payment transaction ID.

Indeed. Everyone that has requested a refund has received this. Some had to wait a while though.
Since I have put a notification on the home page, you are the first to request a refund. So that worked well.

Unfortunately, the developer has disappeared last year. There is no official support for NuHit products. Some products no longer work. vbulletin 4 will likely put an end to most products here.
Although I am not part of Nuhit staff, I have supported/advised customers where I could and moderated the NuHit forums for a year. Now this does no longer make sense to me. Please read more information here.

On the homepage, I think you should BOLD and UNDERLINE unsupported... So it stands out and people can clearly see it.

The 'Important Notice' at the top of the page is the first thing that people read. Since no one else has overlooked this and requests for refunds have come to a halt since then, I think it is working pretty good. Most people will read the product information, before they decide to buy software.

That only works if the link you follow takes you to the homepage and not straight to the purchase page, which is what happened to me

I have no way of putting something on the purchase page. And I do think that it is advisable to read a bit on a product, before you buy it.

I agree entirely and I wasn't having a dig because it isn't on that page. When I'm purchasing something, I do generally explore the whole site before purchasing. This purchase was made for someone else, they supplied me the link to buy, so assumed they'd researched the product first.
