Paying $300 for a nuwikipro clone

I think other people here would pay as well. Another thing they'd pay for: a nuwiki clone that would copy over all the data from old versions of nuwiki.

Me too.

I've joined here just to tell anyone who might conceivably be interested that I'm in the market for a Vbulletin Wiki plugin that works out of the box with 3.7, and has some modest support. Between posts here, at vbulletin.com and vbulletin.org, we are really not the only ones.

Now to seek out Pegasus' profile and send a pm.

Yeah, it doesn't have to be as feature filled as a nuhit product, just something with mild features and mild support.

And backwards compatibility with nuhit products, or a conversion script or something

I've just realised I have a time limit on this: I need to have my ongoing membership set up, Wiki included, by the time a current class finishes at the end of next month. So before the end of June I need a working, integrated wiki.

I'm thinking I'll leave this as late as possible to see if anyone comes up with a Vb-integrated version. And if no-one does, I'll install Moodle (CMS that includes a wiki), integrate it with my Amember set-up and - somehow - with my site's navigation , and use that.

Fingers crossed.

A vbulletin Wiki product should be coded well and be without any bugs. It should also have good support by a experienced coder. Preferably several coders. This is a big project which needs regular updates and improvements.

It would be great if someone could continue this project.

Problem absolutely, conclusively solved:
http://www.crackedeggstudios.com/vau...:CES+VaultWiki
(Neatly integrated, (hyper)actively developed and supported, and doesn't cost $300.)

We went over this already. The problem is that your product does not integrate mediawiki with vbulletin. vbwikipro does do this. I want them to continue vbwikipro, not your project.

Please don't take it personally. I'm sure your product is good for people who don't want to take time to set up mediawiki. However, for someone who is looking for something more, I really hope that someone continues the vbWikiPro project.

This thread is about a Nuwiki clone, not about a vbWiki clone. VaultWiki may be or become a good alternative to NuWiki. It is a new product that so far has had a lot of bugs. However Pegasus has been working very hard and for a long time to try to resolve them and to end up with a good product. I do not know if that point has been reached yet. It may take more time. If people have tested Vaultwiki out thoroughly, without encountering problems, then please let us know.

Sorry. I guess I was in the wrong Forum. Well, I guess it's always good to have more than one option.

I just really hope someone continues to support a MediaWiki/vBulletin bridge such as vbWikiPro. That's where the future is headed. Also, I can take Wikipedia's data and import only the essential data I need and place it in my MediaWiki. I don't think you can do that very easily with VaultWiki. Using MediaWiki, that is sooooo easy.

Sorry to keep talking about how great a vbWikiPro clone would be. I just want people to realize how powerful it can be, especially when adding data quickly to your site.

Please start a new thread to discuss the need for a vbwiki replacement. You will likely get interesting replies.
